Really nice and a little bit unusual but there's no law that NA2-R have to be White. Actually it could be worth more to someone being the only blue NA2-R.
Hi,
One thing curious is that it has non OEM front brake disks...so it's not 100% OEM :P
Nuno
Not the best colour for a NSX Type R but I still woudn't say no ;)
So how much is it?
I like the attention to detail in the showroom - wheels, centre caps and logos all aligned :)
Question, do all Type Rs have no airbags fitted, (both driver and passenger airbags not fitted)?
No - items like airbags were available in packages that could be specified at the time of ordering.
see here: http://jp-carparts.com/honda/carequi...99&mkg=ABA-NA2
The airbag is (obviously) linked to the type of steering wheel supplied - if you go for the airbags you don't get the Type R steering wheel.
So you could have specified: no airbags, no power steering, no navigation and no aircon. Not sure if anyone did though - possibly a track-only car!
Not sure how far the custom program could go - I suppose it was possible to do any combination/permutation through that route, perhaps even no drivers airbag (for the Type R wheel), but passenger airbag installed. Again, why would you?
This place used to be called Macs Tokyo.
Price simply says ASK, so no idea.
All 5 Type Rs that I can see for sale at the moment have no price listed - 4 white, one blue, a '93 , a '95, an '02, this blue '03, and an '04.
In fact none of the NA2 / C32B cars that I can see in Japan have a price listed.
When I went to the NSX Fiesta in 2015 I saw NA2 Rs in LBB, yellow, silver and red - all looked great to me. Plus S types (pre and post facelift) in IOP, lime green, black. Rs could be ordered in most if not all the standard colours but I am sure championship white is the most common colour for both NA1 and NA2 Rs.
Price POA but I would guess well over 20m yen. So probably nearer £200k than £150k on the road in UK. There was a very low mileage NA1 R for sale recently at 26m yen which would mean about £220k on the road in UK. Prices have continued to rise in Japan for all NA NSX in the last year or so.
The only other time I saw photos posted for a LBBP NA2R was around 2008 ... don’t know if the same car and if its the only one ... marmite colour IMHO and I don’t like marmite either ...
If it was Lime Green or Silverstone and I had some spare ££ I wouldn’t hesitate ...
Well the price of marmite must be on the up in Japan the price of the LBB NA2-R was much higher than I thought at 34m yen that is £217k which after import costs would bring your bill to just about £300k.
A 160k km NA1 R is on the market for 18m yen, which is about £150k on the road in the UK.
Here are some NSX-R and Type S/S Zeros in various colours from the 2015 NSX Fiesta Suzuka:

I love it! (but I don't like marmite???)
The front brake disks (rotors) looks OEM, the pads have another colour.Quote:
One thing curious is that it has non OEM front brake disks...so it's not 100% OEM
JDM R pads are red, gold ones seems to be Dixcel......
Very nice, rare car.
Circa £200K OTR price according to importer
I need the colour code for the wheels....
NSXGB, I have at home the original center cap of this wheel, then I attached reference and photo

It is not the same car but there is another very low mileage LBB NA2 R car for sale on a UK site checked. I made contact direct with the dealer, the price is £260,000 plus shipping, tax and import duty which will add 30-35% to get on the road in the UK. Same dealer has a standard LBB car at £140k again plus 30-35% extra to get on the road in the UK.
I will try to get the color code, meanwhile I send you some photos, change the tone depending on the light

For some parts the color code is listed in the parts catalog.
Thanks Remi, will be interesting to see what you come up with. It seems to have a kind of bronze tint, mine ha a black H but the paint colour looks identical to yours above.
Goldnsx, they are listed as 'Gray Metallic' which is a little generic. http://jp-carparts.com/honda/partlis...ig=B&fig1=1800
-990 Washi Gray(grey) Metalic
-980 BMW Silver
The original colour is from BBS Japan (Washi Beam/Mayer Co., Ltd.).

take your pick, or alternatively find a colour you like and paint it that colour! 1. its only paint, 2. NSX are rare enough not to worry about it when parked next to another......
even the main body colours are inconsistent and have tonal variations for the same colour code
The reason I want the paint code is to match the OE caps I have. I don't want to repaint them and have to make up new 'H' decals. I bought some 02 wheels from Sonic years ago and the Washi Gray centre caps were way off the darker painted wheels (looked naff), I believe the wheels were Quantum Gray.
A while back I went to a paint shop to see if I could match the caps, I said I thought they were Pewter Gray but it looked way off...
in that case i'd be inclined to take the centre cap to the paint suppliers/powder coaters and get them to match the silver colour.... it doesn't matter what the code is, it could be a honda/renault/whatever code as long as it matches.
silver in notorious for being a pain to match, and, just to add to the mix, even the application changes the colour.... put it in too heavy and the metal particles have time to flatten and lay down, this makes the colour darker.... put it on too lightly and the particles can stand on their edges, so the paint becomes more 'glittery', it is a pain!
fortunately its only wheels and a centre cap, rather than a wing or door!
Plastic center caps can't be powder coated, only painted. Even though I'm favoring powder coating I'd take the wheels to a paint shop. He should have more experience in matching colors. And if he really takes the time for matching the colors it should be 99% fine. The procedure of color matching takes only a fraction of the time of the whole preparing/painting process. So it doesn't cost much more to invest some more time to find the color.
My painter says that Honda colors always have to be corrected regardless what the paint code is. While Mercedes colors are very accurate.
My main criteria whenever I've to repaint something again IS: can I be part of the paint matching process? If the painter is sort of Raikkönen "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing" I'd stay away. I'd rather pay 20-30% more for a better result.
Have a look at these wheels of a 97. Even without having seen the center caps I've noticed at first sight that the color of these wheels is quite a bit off as I had a set of them in the same color in the past an knew what the color SHOULD look like.
Attachment 13332
In addition to this: in the past I had a set of 16/17 where (only) one of the wheels has been repainted. Even a pro would not have found out which one. So it can be matched, no excuses, it's all about if the painter is willing and capable to do so. The argument is TRUE that silver is hard to match (who the particles lay etc.) but many times it's only an excuse or elusion if the painter didn't take his time...
Now understood you are after the colour code and not the name…
BMW Silver: NH-606M (Asahi, アサヒ)
Wahi Gray Metalic (ワシグレーメタリック) is from BBS Japan (Washi Beam/Mayer Co., Ltd. ワシマイヤー) and hence, the name 'Washi, ワシ'.
Therefore, it's not Honda colour.
However, according to Senninha's old post, it seems to be the same as Pewter Gray Metalic: NH-537M.
If your centre cap or wheel have been exposed to UV ray, the top coat/finish will change over time so as others suggested, best to have it matched using the actual parts and not the colour code.
Also, depending on the type of paint (water or solvent based), the finish/refelction will change depending on how long it took for the drying process.
At Honda factory, because of the use of water based painting on our NSX, it on purposely allowed longer time for the drying process to force the metal flakes to be compacted (not sure the correct word in English...) in the same direction.
Each outer panels had to be handled in specific position/angle to keep the metal flake angle in the same direction.
The gravity played the big part so when you respray part of the body panel after leaving the factory, this is when the colour match becomes so difficult because the angle of the flake would be all over the place and thus, depending on the angle, the colour/reflection would look different.

Thanks to all for the input. Looking forward to getting them done.
