While inspecting the exhaust I noticed one of the heat shields was just sitting free and lower shield was missing. the OEM bolts had rusted away and I guess lower shield fell of at some time.
I didnt have a new lower heat shield to replace this and didnt want to leave the upper shield off, so removed the only remaning bolt which just shapped off and temporary installed the upper shield till new lower shield is ordered.

On replacing the air filter, I noticed some build up on the intake pipe
So decided to remove the pipe and clean it out along with a clean down of butterfly and intake.
Although the intake pipe and butterfly look clean, after a wipe down you can see what was removed.
How the cloth looked before starting the clean down

While inspecting the slave cylinder and preparing to bleed and flush, I noticed the rubber boot was not seated correctly.
Slave cyliner was fine and the area was nice and dry. Also seated the boot back in correctly

Super job Sudesh!
Itching to get the car back now!
Did you order the lower part of the exhaust heat-shield by the way?
If so, happy days.
If not, I can get one and fit it myself mate so don't worry too much about it![]()
Not a problem mate.
It looks like the absence of that particular heat-shield wouldn't make much difference anyway.
The rubber exhaust hanger isn't close enough to get melted surely?
What you reckon?
