So everything in reverse
Attach the new seal which came with the thermostat keeping the small single tab to the top as marked on the stat
In the housing you will see a small groove to where the stat fits and indicates the right way up
New thermostat in place and gentle settle it in

All you have to do now is replace everything in reverse and bleed the fill the coolant system!!
I tested my car earlier and the car now heats up in about 5 to 8 mins and stays at the correct temp when driving.
Just going to clean and detail the engine bay at the weekend.

Spooky, this is on my to do list tomorrow.
More useful information - Torque settings and bleed procedure in section 10 of the workshop manual:

I also replaced both, bolts's/Flange with new OEM ones. One had a little corrosion on it and for the sake of 50p each, worth doing.
Thanks for that Sudesh, great step by step guide. It could come in handy one day. I didn't realised how accessable it was!![]()

Another nice write up, Sudesh.
Looks like you already replaced some of the coolant hoses as well.
Very clean TH butterfly and I love the balck Supra and Red NSX in the background...

Kaz
Hi Kaz,
Yeah I did my coolant hoses last year and only done about 300miles since then, I also cleaned up the throttle body and butterfly at the same time was fairly clean anyway. Supra is getting a professionaly detailed at the weekend and 02 NSX is in for some work/checks.
Started work on a 2002 car I received.
First thing I looked for was noise form the aspirator, although I couldnt hear anything I took a visual look, to which there I could see a build up through the vent
So took took the console out
On taking it out I noticed the gear knob was not seated correctly
Console removed

With the console removed this is what I'm after
Once unbolted signs are pretty obvious, along with build around console vent
