A fully working radio with a non-working display. The display was confirmed OK by installing it into a working JDM radio. An investigation showed heavy leakage by capacitor E818:

IC 802 is providing 9 V to the VFD heater circuit (required for the display to work) and is switched-on by Q827.

Since PCB traces were damaged and Q827 destroyed, IC802 could no longer be activated. There's no 9V reaching the VDF heater circuit and the display isn't working.
