To echo everyone elses comments, i think the interior looks fantastic Sudesh. I agree the pleating makes the car look dated but now it looks comfortably at home with more modern cars (dare I say comparable to Audi's renowened interiors?!). Great job and definitely one for my list!

Is it just an illusion, or have you done something to the dash/door carcasses? It lookes greater than the sum of its parts.

The whole effect looks rather more in line with my ideas for a proposed "NA3". Somewhere between more modern & timeless. Surprisingly so.

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson

    Hi Nick,

Im not really following what you mean?

But I can tell you, nothing has been changed on the door or dash, it's all OEM. Only bit I upgraded are the mentioned items.

It must be the photographs then, or more of an illusion created by the classier leather - lifts the whole interior somehow.

Looks (to me) more like a dull german grey rather than the slightly shiny black japanese look, if that makes sense.

    Thanks for the comments Nick!

It's definitely more of a Matt finish, I think nappa leather in fairness is like that anyway.

Is the standard leather Nappa? As a re-trimmer has quoted me (online) and reckons its Nappa-style?

No, standard leather is not nappa or even remotely resembles it lol. It's not even good grade leather in the NSX and in some places it's vinyl.

Fairly standard - the Premium leather X3 seats are only ~65% leather, from memory - about average for the market.

Quality - very few players offer semi-aniline even as an option - at least the Honda leather (NSX and S2000) isn't corrected-grain. Also, the wife's Golf interior feels rather 'artificial' (due to the thicker laminate behind to make it feel tougher - most of the facing panels are genuine leather) when compared to the Hondas. It will wear better in the Golf though because of it...
"No man with a good car needs to be justified"

Blue '08 FD2 CTR - big, ITR-sized shoes to fill...
Yellow '96 NSX 3.0 - oh was it worth the wait!
Black '99 ITR - well, I had to have another one, the first was so much fun. Miss this one even more than #1...
Blue '03 S2000 - SOLD, flawed but fun
Blue '04 Focus TDCi Sport - SOLD, very good fun for a diesel!
Black '00 ITR - SOLD, still missed
Red '98 Civic VTi - SOLD, probably still bombproof

    Heres some pieces finished today.

Basically took the standard gear knob and created the newer perforated style on it. Also did the same with he steering wheel.

    Enjoy lol
