I'm with Towergate through Adrian Flux for £400 as well.

Mind you, they cannot seem to get the car on the MIA d-base, which means I'm having no success buying the tax online. Buggers!

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson

Talking of insurance, everytime i'm up for renewal i use confused.com to see who's cheapest. All the people i've told to try them have saved plenty of money so may be worth a try.
i was 28 when i bought my NSX and have never paid over £500 for insurance with 4k miles but never driven more than two, wifey's insured too, 25 back then.

    Default Help please!

I have just signed up to a new insurers Classic Line Insurance and they requested a vehicle valuation on a form they provided or a letter with an official letterhead, carried out or provided by car club official. Has anyone here had to do likewise or give me some suggestions.

Looks like no one took this one up. Is there no one we can turn to within the NSX world for an evaluation? I've got the same problem with Classic Line. They use the term 'market value' too. Is there enough of a market to judge the price of any car? Would we agree with them?

Part of the problem is this is a web based club only, you are not the first person to have this problem, another common problem is proof of membership. This issue may need more discussion, how about at our Dinner at the end of October

I've spoken to ClassicLine about agreed value & evaluation problems since there is no official admin at present(?) and being a relative small car club. I told him that I've contacted auto assessors/valuers in the NW, but they charge about £100 and are basically insurance assessors in accidents and they have rarely provided valuations for modern classics. One of them said he would check the car over and look out our website, Autotrader, PH for an idea, but when he mentioned Glasses guide, I said the prices they quote are not a true reflection of the real market value!

Anyway we decided that I should complete the valuation form accurately and honestly, send him at least 4- 6 or more pictures, plus a photo of the speedo.

Paul, your dinner gathering is a wonderful idea, I would loved to have come but regretably I will be 7000 miles away in S.E.Asia!
