Default Stage 3 on the demisting quest

    ok, might be stage 4!
    1. make sure the door membranes are there and sealed
    2. dig out the aircon matrix compost
    3. fit new upper door rubbers

    and finally

    4. fit new lower door rubbers!

the first 3 stages did show improvements, but i did note that the inner loops of the door seal were still getting wet, and knowing it wasn't coming from the inside of the door, it must have been running down/around the door seal! so biting the bullet, the door rubbers were ordered from the good 'ol U S of A!

the old and the new... the old having flattened and stiffened up, basically they lost their puffiness!

    Looks good!

As an aside to those who don't want to fork-out for new rubbers straight away, I had interior misting when I bought mine...which a liberal application of shin-etzu grease all-round seems to have cured. Still not convinced it's sealed as well as yours will be now, but it's definitely a good short-term fix.

Still get condensation on the engine-bay glass, but that's a trickier fix...

Black '99 ITR - well, I had to have another one, the first was so much fun. Miss this one even more than #1...
Blue '03 S2000 - SOLD, flawed but fun
Blue '04 Focus TDCi Sport - SOLD, very good fun for a diesel!
Black '00 ITR - SOLD, still missed
Red '98 Civic VTi - SOLD, probably still bombproof

Havoc, if you have the standard engine bay cover, then the misting is a NSX trait!

Just to complete the topic, I also realized a cabin air filter by following the NSX Prime instructions with a filter FRAM CA9115.

After research, air filter is available in Europe in all Toyota dealer reference: 178010J020 for Aygo or Yaris (petrol engine, not diesel)
but also at Peugeot (107) and Citroen dealers (C1) is the same car built in the same factory

Ref for Mann Filter is : C2513

Now my car has never had the air-con puddle under it, and following on from advice in Kaz's thread i thought i'd look at the heater box... so, as the rad was out, spare support bar was out and battery removed for charging, i delved slightly deeper and took out the heater blower to investigate the cooler matrix...

Kaz's general advice to clean it was well worth the effort. 17 years of dust, dirt, leaf material and seeds had done a good job of clogging things, not so much the matrix, but more the drain hole under the matrix... the one that lets the condensed water out from the front of the matrix. so the water condensed, drained to the bottom, and sat there nicely in a leaf mulch!!!

soapy water and a brush soon had the matrix clean, and a bit of careful digging and probing with a rod of solder had the drain clear! fingers crossed!!!

to prevent it happening again, a filter was required, so following on from here, http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showt...ht=hepa+filter i ordered a FRAM CA 9115 air filter (less than a tenner delivered off ebay) and set too....

    the offending inlet...

    where the filter fits...

i decided it didn't need trimming, as it fitted nice and snug as it was...

all done, just be careful refitting all the screws and the screen lower moulding
