When I stayed in 2008, Pension Diana was full. I stayed about 150m down the same road at her duaghters hotel. Very nice. I'll take the room at the back with the balcony for Saturday AND Sunday night please.

Sorry for the confusion Hienz but I thought you posted that Diana was already full. If there's a room I can stay there. I was simply saying that if it is full, I stayed at her daughter's hotel, the Marvin and it is also very good.

Missed the recent updates as I can't get on here at work however now that the days to drive etc have been agreed for the majority can I get a room for the Saturday & Sunday nights booked please?

I'm guessing it will be in the other hotel now but would appreciate the same hotel as the rest if a room can be found.....

Travelling Saturday morning by the tunnel.
Meeting in Maastricht 12-13:00 pm.
Saturday - drive up to Nurburg via special route.
Saturday - at the nurburgring dinner 7pm at pistenklause (watch list)with German NSX club
Staying at the hotel Saturday night. (pension Diana or haus marvin)
Sunday - Morning Event start
Sunday - 1pm lunch together ?????????at pistenklause
Staying hotel Sunday night (pension Diana or haus marvin)
Get the tunnel back at some point on Monday.

For the people travelling from Blighty on the Saturday please not the following

According to Via Michelin, it takes 3 hours 10 mins from Calais to Maastricht, so working backwards to arrive at Maastricht at 12:30 for lunch you need to leave Calais (the tunnel) at 9:20. Train takes 40 mins plus you loose an hour so you need to get a train before 7:40 am. You need to allow 30mins to check in and go through passport and customs so I would recommend that you all meet at the Channel tunnel 7:00 am at the very latest if not 6:30 am Saturday morning

Hope the above helps and this is why I’m leaving Friday daytime (and I only live 40mins from the tunnel) and staying at hotel in or near Maastricht Friday night. But I do understand some of you may need to work Friday.

I never really liked the Housemartins so I've booked the House Marvins....

Point taken about the early start Paul and thanks for the rough timing guide.....looks like an early start Saturday for me. I'm working the Thurdsay nightshift into Friday morning so don't really fancy the lack of sleep/long drive combo a Friday would create....

It would appear that you can use Tesco clubcard vouchers with the Eurotunnel so at least that saves a bit!!

As the majority will travel Saturday shall we aim for a 6.50 or 7.20 crossing to make Mastrichtt by 12.30pm?

Not sure about return times on Monday-open to suggestions to convoy it back....never been to Spa though, anyone fancy that as a detour on the way back?
