Exterior on this car was already immaculate but I still polished and waxed it and touch up of some stone chips.

Picked the car up this evening and I just want to say a big thank you to Sudesh for doing such a superb job with the car.

The guy is such a pro and the attention to detail is mind boggling!

Decided to replace the plugs on my own car. Car was running fine but I wanted to check the plugs and coils anyway as I'm doing some other work.

Removed the old plugs which had had some discolouration and plugs in general were pretty poor.

I ordered new NGK plugs so will have them tomorrow.

I also checked the condition of the coils and found a little surface corrosion on 2 of the rear coils.

I cleaned these down and removed the surface rust.

I also decided to replace the seals on the covers:

    NO: 20 & 22

Sudesh, that coil was in a bad way, was this from the back bank near the bulk head? This is where water can leak in and cause corrosion over time.

    Hi,

It was from NO:1 bank which is the first one towards the rear of the car not the bulk head, the bulk head coils are all like new. The NO:1 and NO:2 coils had corrosion. Although it looks bad in the pic, its actually more surface rust, and a couple of blasts with contact cleaner and scotch pad cleaned it right up. I tested them all for OHM level and all are perfect.

From inspection, the seals have perished slightly, so I have new one s on order, I also wonder why they didnt put seals on both ends of the covers as the covers are indented the same, so I might experiment and put 2 seals on both covers.

    Stop...Hammer time.

Sudesh the seal is only on the top to let the water exit.

Some people have said that dielectric grease will keep all moisture out and help avoid any future corrosion.

    YMMV.

    Cheers,

    Ary
