Tristian at Torque GT has this White Type R that was the star of the latest Banzai mag, and I believe it's now up for sale.
His business is arranging hassle free importation of any Japanese exotic.

Check out this great explanation video showing you how.

Does this look suspiciously good value - surely equivalent over here would be ~£55k?

Hi Mark, ever since I bought my NSX 17 years ago I always had ambitions to one day drive the NA1 NSX-R, just to experience the difference between the two and now I have, although only driving it for a few hundred metres but sadly not in anger, I was pleased to find that my minor suspension modifications made my car feel virtually the same with regard to body roll, stiffness and turn in feel.

I put this down to these 2 devices:

    https://www.scienceofspeed.com/index...x-1991-05.html

    http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showth...t-Race-Swaybar

The main noticeable differences between the 2 cars, apart from the obvious, the colour, was the thinner steering wheel and seats, making you feel that you are in something very special and of course the very audible, mechanical sound and goings on from the engine bay, probably mainly due to the non double glazed engine bay partition window and the non sound proofed engine bay shelf, giving you a very visceral experience, which, I can imagine on a long journey would get very wearing, but for my experience all the more intoxicating.

The doors felt a lot lighter on opening and closing, making me wonder if they must have used thinner gauge aluminium???

Anyway a great ambition fulfilled, although on reflection I think I would still prefer the creature comforts of my car over the kudos of having the -R badged NSX.

    Thanks for asking.

In which case it's not the the one in the Banzai mag as I drove a manual.

Try this video, I think it shows the car Tristan took to castle coombe.

    Definitely auto - ABA-NA1 3000cc FAT = F-matic auto transmission

If it's a coupe, it's one of only 7 for that year, if a Type T, then 1 of only 2 made for the domestic market. Either way, it's a rare car!

After driving around on chromed 18"/17" Stilauto's for the best part of 14 years I thought I would refit the origanol 15/16's and boy, what a revelation.
They might not look as cool, although that's debatable, or as bling and they don't, but the feel back achieved was amazing.
Having got the handling/feeling back I once had many years ago I decided then to stiffen up the body/chassis roll with Dali sway bars. Felt like a totally different car. Great!
I really didn't want to get to caught up in all the technical aspects of suspension upgrades but still wanted to achieve the holy grail of handling in my own mind so I then purchased a set of Spoon rigid collars only to be advised that the small increase in handling would not justify the £250 out lay plus all the grief of installing and the compliance pin clamp would make it feel far more pointy and go-karty so after fitting and trying it,..... wundabar!!!!!

The great thing about this device is it's simplicity to install and removing it is just as easy if you desire a more compliant ride on say a long distance tour around Europe.

    Good luck with yours.
