Following on from the 'Basingstoke - festival of noise' thread...

I have some results from my efforts of reducing my exhaust noise for the upcoming track sessions.

I went up to Silverstone tonight and got measured. The results were better than expected.

From a measured 114dB at JamesFest, to a now respectable 94dB.

The first measurement was done with the OEM manifolds, no cats and the JGTC exhaust.

The current system is SoS headers, cats, JGTC exhaust and KevSpeed tailpipe inserts.

Haven't taken pics yet of the mods, but will soon.

The sound of the exhaust is slightly above engine sound in the cabin, but it is still possible to hear the sound of the engine when accelerating. The sound that the NSX is famous for.

Incidentally there were plenty of other cars that seemed to be louder than the 98dB that the event stipulates, so if you were thinking of coming nect week but maybe are too loud, don't worry about it.
