Absolutely stunning cars, and what a fantastic web site you've found Duncan for everyone to enjoy. 👍

The first NSX-R GT2 car is simply just amazing, I'm waiting for the seller to come back with POA figure, I wouldn't be surprised to see an in excess price of $500,000 +
And the second NSX factory race car is the one I managed to sit in when I went to the Spa 24hr race last year.
    Both historic dream cars.

The one of ex Armin Hahne has been for sale for years. The longer it was on the market the better it was detailled by the dealers but still found no buyer.

The GT2 car has been up for sale previously, see the attached post from Prime, I didn’t think it was an unreasonable sum at the time

The reply back for the price of the NSX-R GT2 is $380,000 and it would also be possible to make it road legal at further expense.

The GT2 built by TC Prototypes - the owner Mr Thompson visited our stand at Silverstone this year. He still has an NSX - I will try and get his details an invite him and his car along next year.

The first NSX has some beautiful detailing to the suspension components and of course the unique carbon tub within the original chassis ... very nice ...

Some years back there was an ex-race white NSX-R that I chased for a while then the german sellers went quiet and the car disappeared ... stock body, cage, some reversible interior race prep ... anyone now what happened to it?

I also think that the early NSX race cars looked the best.
My favourites are the 1995 LM car and the 2002 JGTC NSX

The white NSX-R from 2002-2006 is still in german hands, Honda Fugel in Chemnitz. He has a nice collection of Honda race cars.
His son won the 24h Nürburgring TCR class this year.

The 2nd NSX which is for sale at racecarsdirect is my old ADAC NSX GT car.
I sold this car to Springbok some years before (november 2003) , now this company tries to sale that car for 5x the price.
Its not the 24h race car from SPA 24h, which was exposed last year at this race, it only got the same design after that race for better change to sale.
    I dont like that.
It was the T car (car #3), which was build from Honda/Seikel, but never raced.
    All good parts were removed.
I used that car at track days in Hockenheim.

Car #2 (Nissen) was sold to USA

Not to downplay the thread, but both these cars have been sale for perhaps a decade now.

I have been to Springbok because (back then at least) they had a host of GT1 and GT2 parts; they looked great but I was also warned that there was as lot of non genuine bits so got spooked in the end. This is because the parts came from the same guys who sold a 'Le Mans' car that didn't appear to be one (it was narrow bodied, for a start).

The ADAC car is a nice bit of NSX history but such a niche thing... it won't be fast and I think you'd have to be an Armin Hahne superfan to justify the price.

As for the GT2, Wire Wheels rebuilt the car significantly in the last year or so and - yes - now wants c400,000 for the car as a result depending what time of the day you ask him. When I first enquired years ago, it was more like $100k but needed a lot of work.

It has tempted my father an I many a time, but the rebuild is a downside for me - I would still want it torn apart and rebuilt by people I trust. It's an old car and needs its parts lifed properly to be raced in anger.

Beyond the sticker price, there is also the small matter of the import duty and poor exchange rate currently. All for the ability to race it (uncompetitively) in the series run by Masters and Peter Auto against the likes of more modern GT2 and GT1 cars.

Unfortunately, it's racing history is pretty awful - it caught fire I believe and broke in its other race. However, it would appear to be the only car of this kind available, so I actually think the price is fair if you considered what a comparable 993 GT2 would cost if this rare (£2m+?). If the lotto numbers came up, I'd have it in a heartbeat!

Gutted that I missed the opportunity to meet Mr Thompson of TC Prototypes! I spoke to him on the phone maybe 7 years ago and he said he was retired, and all original drawings sent to Honda Racing USA and most parts scrapped. A crying shame... The guy has had a helluva career. How old was he looking?

Mr Thompson was looking good. Very engaging and interesting I hope that he will be able to make next year's SSC, the challenge as always is to get a space allocated for the car, as he is a BRDC member he gets in for free, but not an infield pass. In this instance the organisers are a pain.
