Thread: Type S up for auction at Silverstone

  1. Default Type S up for auction at Silverstone

    Hi All,

    Hope everyone is well,

I noticed a Type S is for sale next week at the Silverstone Auctions. I can't remember who the owner is, so was hoping for a bit of background?

    https://silverstoneauctions.com/view.../full/1/259646

Also interested to know if the car still comes with its original BBS wheels.

    Cheers,
    Rob

That one was imported by Torque GT - it features on their website.

I don't remember it being a member on here's car. None of the photos of that car showed the original BBS wheels, so I would guess they didn't make it over. There is a set on Yahoo Auctions Japan at the moment, but be sitting down when you see what they want for them.

Am I the only one who thinks the estimate is a little on the lite side for 1 of 3 in the UK and these virtually never come up for sale?

Only to the NSX owners in the know......Non-NSX owners just want the NSX-R...

I also think that the estimate is a little bit low if you see what Type-S are going for in Japan. Maybe it finds its way back to Japan...

    Sensibly, maybe.

As ever with these things it comes down to demand and I'd imagine that is very low for a Type-S. However, just 2 committed people wanting the car would be enough demand to blow the reserve out of the water.

    It'll be interesting to see.

as per usual the comments in the forums is the usual drivel from people who have never driven the car, understand it and the usual no power
it all gets rather boring to read.

would love the opportunity to bid on this, but outta my league
