You should start a bidding auction on this Heineken, I'm good on those and would definitely be interested in bidding for these.

Above prices are for brand new parts but could .. maybe .. eventually .. serve as a (very) rough indication .. towards .. used parts ..

    Hooooly cow.

Super cool conversion, but with a price tag to match!

Do you know if the harnesses are plug and play?

I did warn you that they weren't cheap! The bulbs are a pretty price too.
The inverter unit is much cheaper (half the price above) from JP-carparts.com
The retraction mechanism & motor are similar if not the same as on the non-hid lights, so maybe you can get away with just the igniter, 2 inverters and the 2 HID bulbs.

The Honda HIDs are notoriously expensive and the harness is unfortunately not plug and play, especially as the inverters are located near the firewall on the passenger side so extra routing is necessary.

The technical design is also a bit special: The inverters are without the ignitor coil. That one is located near the bulbs.

As the lights do not have any e-marks they are probably illegal in GB (although I'm not sure).

If someone would want to install OEM HIDs he would need the Headlight Unit, Igniter and Inverter. The remaining parts should be compatible.

I'm kind of sorry for spoiling the fun but even the regular Halogen headlight unit is at around 90,000 円 already so it's the usual Honda OEM price madness..

Me personally, I'm would consider the OEM setup only for the die hard "full original" guys due to price and complexity.

There are plenty of kits and NSX assembly instructions available online for a retrofit, obviously much cheaper and easier to install than the OEM setup

Indeed - even a high quality kit with decent bulbs (what else..?) is not that expensive and is plug & play.

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson
