Then they missed them, the rules in England changed May 20th, after market HIDs retrofitted into halogen lenses is now illegal and won't pass, along with oil leaks and check engine lights that are on. Removing abs systems on post 2006(?) Now illegal too and won't pass mot..... All since it's gone computerised it's all changed!!!! And we can't just go to a local garage for an MOT, they are all vosa/dvsa governed

Well the guy must have been in good mood & just had a bite to eat. You say the rules changed in may, it's now July & my vehicle had no issues. Sometimes it's just down to the guy you get I get. I'm l real happy with the HID kit, I only kept it on the dip, not the full been. It made a huge change.

Apparently, the HID rule does not apply to cars registered pre-2008.

    I'm not arguing with that.

I left a couple of H1s in the car, just in case. But not needed.

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson

HID lights were available on some JDM NSX from when the NA2 was introduced in 1997, and standard on most JDM NSX from late 1999. Parts are v. expensive, but fit the pop-up lights properly.

My 1997 JDM with was equipped with factory HID and pop-up headlights. Unfortunately it had to be converted to regular Halogen for the registration in Germany.

The change was necessary for two reasons: First the RHD beam design and second because HID in Germany is only allowed if automatic leveling and a washing system is installed (unless the lights are below a certain power level which is not the case with the NSX)

The parts are still with me and I was planning to sell them, just haven't realized it yet.
