Defrost panel

Rate this Entry

Managed to find some time to carry out
quick check up on my NSX.

I’ll need to replace my rear brake pad and disc
in the near future as it is about 3mm left before
it will hit the wear indicator.

And after nearly 19 years with about 140K miles plus
the recent big change in the temperature,
finally my defrost panel started to show the sign of
cracking issue.

It's hard to see in this photo but you can see the hairline
crack at the centre of the photo.

The other side of the defrost panel is still fine so
it has not separated in two pieces yet but I think
it is not too far from it happening.

I’m quite sure the Type-S suspension on UK road
accelerated the issue as well.

I know my A/C evaporator has tiny leakage
which requires the removal of entire dashboard if
I want to replace it with a new one.

I’ll replace the defrost panel together with the evaporator
when I can find the time to do so but in the meantime,
I need to do something before it starts making squeaking noise.....

Joy of owning the classic car......
