Continuing with the Health Check and ABS…….
All four solenoids operated fine so no drama here.
This is the 2nd generation ABS so the reservoir has protruded section.
As it was flushed last year by myself, the reservoir was still clean but
cleaned it again any way.
So, ABS is done and I’ll adjust the fluid level after exercising the ABS several times
in order to activate the ABS pump to pressurise the accumulator to the spec during
the test driving session.
Although there was no leakage at the CL master/slave cyl nor at the CL hose,
the CL reservoir was black.
Keep eye on the fluid level and as soon as you notice any changes,
it’s time to act and replace all three as a set.
As mentioned many times by other owners as well,
if you are using aftermarket wiper blade, be careful.
The passenger side wiper arm will scratch the back of the bonnet.
On this NSX, it was already painted by someone in the past for the very reason.
The famous tail light condensation.
First step is to replace the gasket behind the tail light assy as seen here but
for this level of condensation, you will also need to open up the tail light assy and
evaporate all of the moisture trapped inside the assy.
Last time, we carried out the Engine Refresh Stage 1 service on this engine.
The camshaft cap seal area was still very clean and dry.
Time for the test driving session but the traffic was getting busy so
decided to wash the car first.
And guess what, it started to rain again…..
More to follow later.
