Compression Check

Rate this Entry

During the annual service, I always recommend the owners to carry out the
engine compression check to keep eye on the condition of the engine.

I carried out Engine Refresh on this engine about 2 years ago and
at that time, I was really pleased to see the identical compression
result across the cylinders after the service.

Interesting to see the condition of this engine after 2 years.

The spark plugs were replaced at that time so very clean and nicely burnt centre tip.

The silicone grease is doing good job on keeping the IG coils healthy.
These are the original ones from early 90’s.

The rubber seals at the IG coil covers were also replaced at that time and
applying silicone grease kept them in very good condition.

Still very bouncy and keeping good seal.

And the result

#1: **5, #2: **5, #3: **3, #4: **0, #5: **0, #6: **5

Once again, really pleased with the result.
Very healthy and strong engine.

Just keep replacing the engine oil and filter regularly and
enjoy driving this NSX.
