Started to install the new coolant hoses.
Normally, although it’s a time consuming task, there is not much to
report because you just keep installing the new parts.

However, on this occasion, I found an issue with the new hose.

One of the hose at the water valve under the bonnet showed manufacturing issue.

There was a slit at the surface.
Initially, I thought it was caused by a sharp object during the packing but
there was no damage to the bag.

Further investigation confirmed that the protective surface rubber was not
bonded together to the internal fibre layer and due to the issue being at
the neck of the 90deg bent, the surface rubber started to crack.

The hose itself still works fine even under pressure because the internal rubber and
the fibre layer are bonded fine so it’s just the surface protective coat.

However, I can’t use this kind of hose and requested Honda Japan for the replacement.

At the same time, asked Honda UK to see whether they have it in stock or not
in Belgium to minimise the service delay.

If not, I must wait for the delivery from Japan……

So, apart from this one hose, rest of the hoses at the front compartment are done.

Three hoses at the centre floor are done.

Cleaning the red sealant left inside the thread at the Oil cooler.

Liquid gasket applied to the two fixing bolts at the oil cooler and
now it's back in place together with the two new coolant hoses.

Moving on to the engine bay….

I hope I'll get the replacement hose very soon......
More to follow later.
