Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer

Not much point in cleaning the internal engine parts without removing the camshafts but still, couldn't stand the state of the blowby gas so carried out some cleaning.

Again, not easy creating oil and debris free mating surface for the valve cover gasket while keeping the engine inside the bay but still, one must achieve this level of cleanness otherwise, it will cause oil seepage.

I can’t remember the last time I had to spend so much time for cleaning the old liquid gasket from the valve cover.
Basically, someone decided to apply the liquid gasket all way along the gasket channel….





Looked as if this section was repaired in the past so decided not to clean too much.






Properly installed the new gasket and the seal.
