In the process of cleaning the cam shaft cap seal area.

Before starting, 95% of the area in this photo was covered in black oil/debris.


Now, you can see the clean engine head metal but hard to wash/clean some of the area.


Another reason why I prefer taking the engine out even just for TB/WP service because I can't get the brush into some of the narrow area due to the limited access while the eigine is inside the bay.

Cleaning the cap seal seat.


Important to absorb the black oil behind this area to remove any particles/debris as much as possible.
Black oil is also mainly from the blowby gas so you don't want to leave them sitting there.

Cam shaft holders and holder plates are now washed and waiting to be air blown to make sure nothing is blocking the tiny-tiny oil jet holes and passages.
