Now that the audio head unit, CCU, centre console, etc were back in place, just had to re-install the rear upper trim behind the seats to complete the cabin side.
As always, the old clips were wrong spec, broken or missing so replaced with the new ones.

As reported earlier, there were many traces of water running down into the boot section behind the tail light assy.

When I removed them, no surprise the water managed to pass through the gasket.

The upper section was heavily contaminated and already cracked in bits and pieces.
You can see from where the water managed to get into the boot….

The use of heater gun didn’t help much in removing the old gasket because it just broke into tiny pieces….
These should have been replaced every time the tail light assy was removed from the body panel.

Cleaned the back of the light assy and the body panel to this level and installed the new gasket together with the small round disc where the gasket can’t cover the stud bolt.

Unless doing DIY, not cost effective to ask someone to open and dry out the moisture from the centre panel so just going to replace it with the new one. Looking good.

Still loose finger tight torque at this stage.
Going to leave them overnight and then start the light assy alignment task but the R & L assys were already warped so not going to be easy especially when the centre panel is the new one…..

Still waiting for the brake disc and since it’s already Friday, it’s not going to be here until next week…..
Just going to finish the ABS flushing, bleed the brake fluid, replace Eng oil/filter/fuel filter and then just wait for the brake disc so that I can finally test drive this NSX.

Hoping to start working on another NSX from next Thursday and in the meantime, I must service audio head unit and Bose AMPs that should be delivered late this afternoon.
If I’m lucky, I should have the delivery of ABS Upgrade loom from T3TEC so hope I can modify it before getting too busy again.
