A/C CCU Board service 01

Rate this Entry

While working on another NSX, I was refurbishing the CCU board very slowly in the background as I am really behind the schedule for servicing the NSX.

The owner sent in the board as he was not happy with the temperature control.
Also, he reported that despite the temperature set at cold and CCU being switched off, he was getting some hot air through the vent even when the car was not moving.

On receiving the board, inspected it and while the leaked acid was held in very limited area, it actually allowed the acid to penetrate through the board really deep.
Also, one of the lead at C22 was already dissolved and just broke away with gentle tap.

The owner actually sent me several photos before sending the board to me so he was also surprised that he didn’t get even more issues after seeing all these photos that I uploaded to his photo album.

Still, it’s far better than some of the board that I serviced recently.
Quite surprised considering the age of this board.

Just keep cleaning and scraping the board.

Started rebuilding the damaged area.
