Castrol Edge

Before the owner collecting his NSX, I had limited time for working on my NSX so decided to change the engine oil and the filter.
Regardless of the mileage, I always replace the engine oil and the filter in spring and autumn every year.
These days, the biggest challenge is finding the time working on my NSX and MX-5.

I normally use Mobil 1 because that’s what I have been using for ages and although the MSDS shows different chemical detail between the one sold in Japan and UK, this is the one tested on a certain dyno with actual C30A engine so it's a proven product.

On this occasion, I couldn’t source Mobil 1 in time and I had to keep the last bottle of Mobil 1 for the owner that I had to get something else within 1Hr.
As I have been using Castrol Edge on MX-5 for a while now and knowing that other NSX owners in Japan are using it as well, decided to give it a go on my NSX.
I know in UK, Honda dealers are using Castrol (used to be GTX, then Magnatec and now possibly Edge but not sure) when servicing not only the NSX but all of their cars.

Quick oil change, Health Check while the lift is available, didn’t have time for the compression check so I'll do it probably this week as no need to access the lift.

Quick shower, meeting with the owner and done.

MX-5 next.....

Just managed to send out the Christmas cards to Japan (more of new year’s day card for traditional Japanese culture.....).

Already working on another NSX....

I need to find some time taking the dashboard out from my NSX in order to replace the A/C evaporator, compressor, defrost panel, etc.....

Busy days.....
