I noticed that among the owners of aftermarket bonnet with NA2 NSX-R look-a-like, they have some sort of fins installed at the meshed opening. No idea why as there is none on the NSX-R.

This NSX arrived with the fin exposed at outside but I think it was meant to be facing inside so briefly test installed it.
Unfortunately, one of the fin already scratched the paint and also the fin will hit the TH pedal cable at two places indicated by my fingers so something to be considered by the owner…..
I don’t see any points in using the fin but they are glued so not easy to remove…..

This is how it looks on NA2 NSX-R.
I will wait for the owner’s decision.

Speaking of the TH pedal cable, I felt it was extremely heavy compared to other similar year model NSX.
Had a look at the linkage under the bonnet and the pot rotated smoothly and couldn’t see any strange bend at the cable itself.
There was too much free play so adjusted it while in there.

Looking at the TH pedal assembly inside the cabin, it seems the pedal stroke length is not the same as others but it can fully close as well as reach WOT at the TH butterfly inside the TH body so not affecting the engine itself but something to be looked at in the future.

Ah…. The aftermarket airbox and air filter…… What a poor condition filter….. Squashed and very dirty.
At one part, I can see through some lights but most of the area was already blocked with the dirt. And the squashed area won’t act as a filter and instead, it will block the air flow. Hope the owner has the replacement or go back to OEM.

And with the use of aftermarket air filter, as expected, so much sand like materials inside the intake manifold. Couldn’t take good photo without removing the TH body but using the fibre scope, you can see it.
Very dirty TH body as well.

I think it’s waste of time cleaning this TH body without removing it so next time when replacing the coolant hoses, best to just remove the TH body and clean it thoroughly.

Several wheel nuts were very loose but particularly, the ones at the RL wheel were super loose.
For one of them, it was like hand tightened only…..
