The Valve clearance adjustment at the Rear bank is finished.
As the temperature dropped significantly today compared to the weekend, decided to check the clearance on all six cylinders again for the 3rd time.
Made minute adjustment at one out of twenty four adjusters.
Time to reassemble everything.
As all of the rubber seals were replaced with the new ones, it would be quite difficult to align the bolt holes on the mid covers.
It is quite useful to insert the alignment pin used to lock the Front cam shaft during the TB service when dealing with the TB mid covers.
Front mid cover installed.
For the Rear mid cover, especially on the models with four O2 sensors, it will be quite difficult to access the top rearward bolt hole.
Again, just use the alignment pin to hold the cover in position and tighten other bolts first.
The other bolt at the Rear mid cover.
This is the one with the bracket holding the cable for the Oil pressure sensor located at the Oil Filter base.
Quite often, this cable was not routed properly.
Almost done with the Rear mid cover and just carry on with the re-assembly process.
As always, for the Valve Clearance adjustment, cleaning of the engine, dealing with the mid covers, etc during the TB service, it was much quicker to deal with all of them by taking the engine out with the transmission and rear sub frame as a whole assembly.
I need to replace my Lost Motion Assy soon so I hope I can take my engine out once I have finished all of the big services for other owners in the near future.
