This NSX is the Targa with LEV so before I can access the IGN Coils and spark plugs, I must remove so many things as a preparation.
For TB/WP service, it would be quicker to take the engine out with the sub-frame like I used to do especially if it is OBD-II LEV model.
IGN coils removed.
Placed in the way that you are looking at the engine while standing next to the Rear Right wheel.
Bottom side is towards the TB/Crank Pulley and Left side is the Rear bank.
#1 Coil (left bottom) was showing tiny amount of rust but nothing serious.
Spark plugs removed. #2 plug was quite loose and thus, showed different colour compared to others.
There was no brown corrosion/electric arc markings at the white insulator body so these plugs will be re-used and the mileage is well below 60K miles.
Disabled the Fuel Injection, set the throttle butterfly to WOT and in the process of compression test.
Result.
All data in [psi]
Cyl 1: **3, Cyl 2: **6, Cyl 3: **6,
Cyl 4: **5, Cyl 5: **7, Cyl 6: **6
Similar trend and deviation on compression data compared to other C32B.
Removed the seals, scraped off the residue and cleaned both Front and Rear IGN coil covers.
Will be installing the new seals on these IGN coil covers and replacement TB lower cover that came with the WP.
Make sure your boss is not there if you are doing these inside the house.
Will drain the coolant and just keep removing many parts but I need to focus on the Health Check report tomorrow so not much work on this NSX.
