Eng Refresh 27

Rate this Entry

Not much to report while putting the Eng back in place.

Gave good cleaning inside the eng bay.

As seen on many NSX, heavy corrosion at the three coolant pipes at the firewall.
Couldn’t remove any further as I was worried about the strength of the pipes.
Some of the corrosion looked like a hole.

Ideally, I would like to replace this CL slave cyl together with the CL master cyl and the hose because it looked as if it started to leak but will leave them for the future service.

Very rusty fuel filler pipe.

As reported earlier, although I washed it with the carb cleaner, I didn’t like
the way the PCV valve sit and with excessive amount of black gunk inside
the engine, decided to replace it with a new one.

As reported earlier, the Gbox GND cable was sharply bent and damaged possibly
by the previous CL or Gbox/Eng service.
New one installed.

Forgot to take the photo but the Fuel filter replaced before placing
the engine back in the bay.

Eng back in the bay and just connecting all the other bits now.

Just in the process of carefully placing the exh backbox and the exh pipe
back in place as the flex joint is so short that it could easily crack.

Hope to fire it up tonight.
