The biggest surprise was the state of the oil cooler.

For this year model, I was expecting to see shiny top hat section.
However, it was already in this state and I think it’s worse than the one on
my NSX that is about 10 years older than this one.

I saw similar thing on the NSX living near the sea side area but
on this NSX, left side of the engine was so clean that it can’t be the case.
Because rest of the car is so clean, as mentioned in my previous post,
may the car was washed regularly but without being driven before
placing the car back in the garage???

Needs to carefully look at the oil cooler because despite the top hat being
heavily corroded, the side section just below the top is still visible so may
be fine for some time.
Will talk to the owner to decide what to do with it.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the oil cooler parts that were on back order for
the other owner just arrived from Japan so if required, I can replace them
without causing any delays.

As I don’t need to service the drive shaft on this NSX,
decided to drain the MTF now so that I can pour the fresh MTF with ease
while the engine is out.

The MTF strainer.
It was black so the MTF looked to be never replaced in the past.

There were just some tiny-tiny particles inside the filter with some
metal powder so the gear teeth and synchro should be in
very healthy condition.
Please replace MTF regularly especially if you drive your NSX hard.

Very clean front bank cyl head with just a small leakage from the
valve cover gasket.

Not sure whether the owner is aware of this but there were trace of
red liquid gasket around the cam shaft black seal disc at both the
front and rear banks so both valve covers were removed in the past
by someone.

Quite surprised considering the age and mileage of this NSX.

Lots of white water marking on the rear valve cover.
Will take more photos tomorrow as I have several projects to be finished
within today.
