Doing bit of catch up after too many things to be done
over the last week.

While waiting for the metal epoxy putty to cure on the
cracked dashboard, started working on the windshield upper molding.

On earlier models, eventually the upper molding will shrunk and
creates some gap at the edge that is bit of an eyesore on
a beautiful car.
Honda modified the design and even released the TSB for this issue.

The parts are not that expensive but cleaning of the old adhesive is
time consuming task.....
And not easy task especially when it is so hot.....
The adhesive just soften itself and doesn't want to come off......

Clean the horizontal and vertical edge of the windshield while
everything is removed.

You must remove and clean the old adhesive to this level to
create oil free clean surface before the installation.

Installing new fastener with centre marking aligned using
the rear view mirror mount.

The new fastener installed and the edge should be under the
front pillar retainer/visor.

As always, looks so nice and I wish I can find the time to
replace mine as well.
Being as 94 model, the molding didn’t shrink but due to the
heat, UV and age, it looks more like dark grey than the pure black.

As reported earlier, some of the screws at the pillar retainer/visor
would be corroded over the years so there is no point in re-using them.
Also, the screw grommet could be already dead since it’s plastic.
Just replace them with the new ones if they are corroded or not working properly.
