Time for the compression check before start of the service.
The full figure is already forwarded to the owner.
[psi]
#1 cyl: **5, #2 cyl: **0, #3 cyl: **2,
#4 cyl: **3, #5 cyl: **6, #6 cyl: **7
All three Rear bank cyl showed lower figure than the Front ones.
It will be interesting to see the rear bank cam shaft timing and also how the valve clearance was adjusted in the past.
It is so easy to make mistake on TB alignment especially at the rear bank and at least I know more than 5 cases reported in Japan even the TB service was carried out by the Honda garage.
As I’ll be washing the A/C evaporator later and also replacing all of the cooling system hoses including the ones at the front compartment, decided to take the A/C blower motor fan out first.
When I saw the bracket for the old security system installed behind the blower motor fan, I knew something won’t be right.
The fixing bolts were not treated properly and one of them were already gone and left without any repair.
I could try to drill it out for the owner as I have the spare bolt but I don’t want to scratch the red paint so will see how it goes…
Some of the cable ties were not fixed to the chassis properly so placed them back in their original position.
One of them was already damaged so will consider alternative method.
There should be a drain duct at the round shroud in the middle of this photo but it’s missing….
I don’t think I can get the part in time but will try…
