A/C CCU Board Service

Finally, managed to work on this worst condition board that I have ever seen.
As in my previous blog A/C CCU Board service A-01 and A-02,
the previous service caused more damage than repairing the board.



Just shocking.......



I already knew that it will cost a lot if I repair this board so I checked ...

Before going out for the test driving session, wanted to finish
the A/C CCU board service.

As reported earlier here (Eng Refresh 02), I found that
the R & L condenser fans and the A/C compressor switched themselves on
even when the CCU was in Off position.

Addition to the CCU, the Fan Control Unit could be faulty but first thing first.

Following on from the shocking first inspection of this board,

decided to remove all the parts affected including the ones
that were installed by the previous service.


Very good idea because I found one of the zener diode was of wrong spec.

Managed to find the time to test the CCU board using my NSX.

I don’t know how many times I removed my centre console
for this purpose.
When I started this service, I thought about getting complete
2nd hand heater unit and blower motor fan for the testing purpose but
at that time, I didn’t know the level of demand and also couldn’t justify
the total cost when I can remove the centre console so quickly.
