Thread: Crazing on front bumper

    Default Crazing on front bumper

I've got an eight year old NSX in midnight purple. Three years ago the front bumper developed severe crazing/cracking. I had the bumper repaired but the problem has returned, with the paint peeling off as well. Has anybody experienced similar problems, and is there a cure (short of replacing).
If not, where can I get a replacement without paying the £1000 from my local dealer?

    Hi Ken

    welcome to our community!

there are some folks here who have some experience in respraying NSXs in whole or part, hopefully one of them will be along shortly to give their comments on your problem.

meanwhile, in answer to your 2nd question, there are some for sale here:

    one for $500 here

    one for $275 here

    another $500 one here

one with 'slight damage' here at $175

    hope that helps.

In my experience you cant repair cracks in plastic bumpers. Many people will disagree but sooner or later the crack will reapear no matter what state of the art technology you use. replace it dont try repair it.

If you haven't sourced a bumper then it could be worth a look here,
