    Default Non-Slip Dashboard Mats

    Just in case anyone is thinking about buying one.......mine melted in the heat from the sun.
    It's a sticky gloopy mess. any tips on how to clean it off appreciated.

    If you can't clean it off I think you should cover the dash in Alcantara....

    the only thing I can think of would be white spirit or something along those lines.

    A hairdryer (medium heat rather than high) and white spirit or WD40 maybe?

    .....have you tried contacting the company that makes then? Seems like a schoolboy error on the design front. Might be able to get them to suggest a suitable cleaning fluid, and compensate you for your trouble maybe....

    If only I'd kept the packaging, I would hae written to the manufacturer and sent the photos. Doh! Never thought I would need it at the time. I can't even remember who it was.

    Have managed to get it off quite well using White and Methylated spirit alternatively. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Lesson learned - Dont use non-slip mats or remember to remove from the dashboard every time.
