    Hi, cas.

The answer is no and your situation is quite normal.

There is a light bulb inside the switch assy but it is purely for illumination purpose only and does not flash On and Off while the Hazard switch is pressed.
It will stay continuously On while the small/side light is in On position.
It also goes through the illumination control unit so you can change the brightness.

As far as I know, this is the same for JDM, Europe, Acura spec NSXs for all year models but I haven't checked all of them...

  3. Default flasher

    hi

Kaz when i examined the switch it has a small cover in the centre. I removed this and it looks like there is a bulb holder but no bulb. Do you know if it would work with a bulb?

    Hi, cas.

Had a look at the hazard switch tonight.
Removed the black small cover in the centre and the red plastic collar as well.
Inside the housing where these parts were removed, there were no electrical terminals. Though, it looked like a bulb socket as there were two slits at the base...

So, if we are looking at the same thing and if it is the same spec, we won't be able to flash On and Off the hazard switch housing without any modifications.

    Regards,
    Kaz
