Go to nsxprime and do a search. I've a recollection of a related thread; with if you've a similar problem, remove switches, spray with cleaner then re-install.

While I here, if the steering wheel needs to come off, can you just pull the fuse for the air bag or do you have to disable it some other way?

Again back to the manual. It's belt, braces and hands in pocket!
Disconnect neg. battery lead, disconnect positive battery lead. Under the maintenance lid (small removable panel) on the steering wheel is a jumper connector that is re-attached to the lead from the airbag itself.
