Because I find driving on the road mind numbingly dull, scary, just a method to get from A to B etc etc, my other car is a cheap 10 yr old Honda CRV.

It can carry building materials, snowboards, bikes. It can park up next to kerbs without danger of scraping front spoilers and wheels. It's roomy and reliable. It is stress free motoring, which is what I want for the public roads.

Likewise..a 10 year old Honda CRV

And moving to the diametrically apposed position to Matt.

My 2nd car is........a Daewoo Matiz!!! (in bright metallic orange). Affectionately known as the 'baked bean' by my kids!

My excuse? I have a 6 mile drive to/from the station each day & needed something that was small, cheap to run & for me to not care about abandoning for 9 hours a day.

I bought the little Matiz on ebay (brave I thought!), 4 years old, FSH, 14,000 miles for £1500. Nothing like a manufacturer going bankrupt to speed up depreciation!!!!

I feel it is likely that I am the only person in the world to own an NSX & a Matiz. Whether that is something to be proud of is another matter all together!!!

We had one of these but with the John Cooper Works Kit fitted, we got crap service from all the BMW dealers we visited to get things sorted (it was in for 4 weeks once when the exhaust fell off (only got fixed when we rang mini direct)) it rattled more than Bezzas maraca’s and we had to check to make sure our fillings were still in place after every journey. A lot of hype over an OK car. What makes me laugh most is the press now slag off the ride of the old version when they all said how wonderful it was!
