Brian Long's book reckons that the fared-in headlights in the facelift model (along with other aero improvements) are good for an extra 4 mph top speed, so in reality, a facelifted targa could be quicker than a "classic" 3.2 coupe
My understanding is that the 4mph difference comes when the pop-up lights are popped-up!
