Being a fan of Honda engines, I later went to Honda's Tochigi Research Center on two occasions and requested that they consider building for the McLaren F1 a 4.5 liter V10 or V12. I asked, I tried to persuade them, but in the end could not convince them to do it, and the McLaren F1 ended up equipped with a BMW engine.

Both NSX Turbos had trouble and retired, one after just 7 laps!

The single NA car entered finished 8th overall and won it's class, beaten only by 4 McLaren F1's and 3 Le Mans Prototypes :-)

Turbos, too tempermental! NA more reliable & to come behind those calibre of cars like the Mac F1s is brilliant !! Mark are you a Le Man fanatic?

This'll be the first time in 6 years that I'm not going to Le Mans. I'm very anti diesel so am not unhappy that won't be there to whitness another victory for an oil burner

Actually I'm rather looking forward to watching the round the clock (yes really) coverage on MotorsTV (Sky Channel 413) this year. I'm sure you see waaay more on telly anyway AND you don't have to queue for hours for a cold shower!
Who am I kidding I'd much rather be there

    Cheers

Queue for a cold shower! That's why you have hotels. None of this smelling like a badgers armpit for 24hours for me.
