Not cheaper, but probably comparable - Directline did me £548 based on £36000 value, 33 years with full no-claims.

    Cheers, Rich.

The best quote I got last July was £454.00 from Carole Nash (Bike specialist Insurers but now branching out) so I'm now with them. Oh, I'm late 40's with loads of no claims in "safe" postcode

Hope this helps, give them a try.

You can also try RAC and insure it as a classic car if it is over 10 years old and quote you will be doing less than 6000 miles per year. They don't ask for the current mileage so they don't know what your starting mileage is so in the unlikely event you be safe with your first accident/claim how ever many miles you drive. If no accident then you be laughing. This will severely reduce your premium. Worth a quote!

Question Rac Classic Insurance No Go For The Nsx

    hi m8
with this caliber of car it needs to be a lot more than 10 years old for RAC.
i dont know where you got that from but this is what it states on their website
    What is a classic car?
Manufactured at least 15 years ago as a standard production model (20 years for some vehicle makes, eg Porsche)

    ???

I'm with the RAC. I did a 'confused.com' search and it was the cheapest for me. 27 years old with 9 years no claims came to £700+. I thought it was an absolute bargain as the everybody else tried to sting me for between £1500-£2000!

    I pay 670 (3.2 was a lot more than 3.2) insured for 28k.

    I'm 26 with 4years NCB and 3 points.

This was massively cheaper than anywhere else as many others wouldn't even quote me and, like Nathan says some tried to get me for a couple of grand!

Churchill - got an extra £100 off for telling them I was expecting my renewal quote to be less than I got - they sorted me their best deal!

Think I'm about £600 with AON (classic policy) - 39 with 3yrs NCB, 3 points, value £17.5K, 1993, unlimited mileage, kept on driveway, spouse who's written off 2 cars! AON are generally excellent - came to them thru' the MX5 OC - but I don't think they have an internet service so won't be on Confused. 01384 552700.

    Which company quoted you, Keith?
