Thread: Evening drive

    Default Evening drive

Having not driven an NSX much in the last few years for various reasons, I finally got out last night and took a drive down the coast.
Clear roads and great conditions meant we made some great progress.
The old manual steer car was fantastic over the moors; compliant and fast enough to be engaging. In fact probably the right amount of power for most UK roads, especially the challenging terrain we have down here.
Going from JDM gears back to UK/US spec was interesting and took a second to acclimatise. TBH I rarely saw fourth gear the whole evening. I think that one of the ways these ‘old’ cars are superior over the modern high power stuff, is in the way you have time to hear the engine move through the rev band. Sure it’s a little more frenzied the higher you get, but it’s nice to have the space to appreciate. It is also ni e not to be watching the odometer!

All I can hear in my head today is the sound of that engine screaming away behind me.

    Cheers.
