Default Help with insurance valuation please

My insurance is due for renewal in a few weeks time and ClassicLine require an updated valuation (currently £70k)

Y1 remains in very good (if not concourse!) condition, just under 60k miles, FHSH....where do you think I should be pitching the new insurance valuation please?

My "gut" feel is that is should be between £95 and £120k - that is going by the cars that are being sold in UK and EU.

    also Pistonheads search -

These lists are of course "asking price" not necessarily what they sell for.

    Hope that helps

Thanks Nick....no need to apologise, it is helpful that you came up with a similar figure to Nick independently.

    Hi Ian,

I recently had a valuation done by Plans or NSXUK. It's £50 but well spent considering the values. They've shifted many cars so can at least say they're up to date with market values... I'd agree you're on a six figure number.

    Cheers,

    Gary

Just re-insured mine for 90 large - no wonder they didn't baulk at it!

    Oh well...

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson
