    Default Drive Shaft Oil Seal

    HI All,

can anyone confirm the part numbers for the drive shaft oils seals (where the shaft goes into the gear box), and if left and right sides are the same number.

I have looked on diagrams and it's difficult to tell.

The part number I have found so far is : 91207-PR8-005.

    Cheers

    Hi, Jim.

For the Left side, 91207-PR8-005 where the L-dirveshaft inboard joint goes into the DF central gear inside the trans case.

For the Right one, unless you are removing the trans case or the intermediate shaft, can’t replace the seal.

No need replacing it if doing just the R-side driveshaft service.

R-driveshaft inboard joint connects to one side of the intermediate shaft and the other end of the int shaft goes into the DF planetary carrier through the CL case.

For your reference, 91206-PR8-005 is the one sitting on the CL case and different from the trans case one.

    Hi Kaz,

I'm not sure if I need them, but just thought as I am renewing all those parts I may as well renew the seals too.
Thanks again for your insight, hope to catch up at some time this year .

    Cheers
