Default Door Mirror Colour - Body colour match or Black?

    Hi All,

As I am about to embark on a much over due respray on my car (honestly , if you could see the current condition, most here would cry). As this is going to cost a few quid, I though that I may as well get it done well.

I will be keeping the black roof, but I wonder what is everyone's opinion is on Black door mirrors (I've been told this is a more JDM look?)

To be honest, I really cant decide, currently the mirrors are colour matched to the bodywork, but I have seen a car with black mirrors and it looks quite good.

    Cheers

    Jim

Easy enough to change back if you don't like it. 02 Type R's came with black mirrors.

NA2 NSX-R has black door mirror and looks nice on white body colour but may look out of place on some of other colours.

Not sure you are re-spraying the body in the original colour or changing it to something else but you can try wrapping it in black now to get some idea.

Or, after re-spraying, may be you can wrap just the door mirror in black so that you can always go back???

Thanks guys , that is certainly food for thought, and I think the idea is quite appealing now

I agree, paint the whole car and wrap the mirrors and just remove if you don’t like.

I had a white M6 in Dubai and wrapped it, matt blue. Mirrors and other touches, little rear spoiler and I think door handles and parking sensors strangely were done in black and it looked great.

The car is currently Sebring, but I think I have settled on changing to Kaiser

I know what you mean, I did think of going a bit more left field but decided against it

Or to bring it right up to date, why not Nord Grey?
