Thread: Assembly process for door mirrors

Default Assembly process for door mirrors

    Help needed please ...

I want to put my door mirrors back together ... but for the life of me cannot recall how I managed to extract the inner working parts from the outer body ... and needless to say, no matter what I am currently trying, it is very much square peg round hole as they refuse to allow me to reconnect the two parts ...

I hope one of you nice, knowledgeable owners can offer some wisdom on how to achieve reassembly .. or maybe you can provide a link to an online manual??

    Many Thanks in advance, Paul

    Hi, Paul.

Not sure you wanted to know how the actuator housing (custard/yellow) meets the back of the mirror plate or
how the [mirror+actuator] assy sits inside the painted outer housing but I presumed it was the latter and
hope these photos would assist you....

Thanks for the feedback and links gents ...

The issue I have is the reinstallation of the mirror plate inside the painted outer housing. I recall when stripping them thy were difficult to separate, so not surprised reassembly is a challenge ... I’m sure there’s a knack one of you will know. Pleeeaaaassssee
