  1. Default long due service advice

    Hi guys

Just trying to gauge some knowledge from you guys.

I'm due to get my car serviced in the coming weeks and was hoping you guys could advise on where to source cheaper parts as well as other things to get done at the same time.

The parts I'm looking for are

Timing belt/ water pump and crank Pully.Lma,
braided brakes hoses and gaskets and possibly brake discs.
    Suspension.

also need to replace all 6 ignition coil packs advised by Kaz probably cheaper from Japan.
I've seen a post about after market ignition packs ...any one have any experience or knowledge on them.

anything else you guys think I should get done whilst carrying out the work ? bushes etc

    also need 02 sensors.

The car is 99 T top auto driven daily never had anything done apart from sparks oil change and filter ...starts on the button every time but starting to feel sluggish and a bit neglected.

    Thank you in Advance

I think an "engine out" service is the way to go. If so then it would be elegant to change some things more as it's easier to do so.

    DIY or let do?

let do as I don't have ramps or history of seeing things thru lol!

Besides TB/WP/LMA/Pulley all rubber seals and plugs of the engine.

    Optional
    injector seals, cleaning them?
    axle boots?
water hoses around the engine, thermostat, overflow bottle tank
    all fluids esp. coolant
ign coils: bite the pulley and buy new oem ones from Japan
    A/C + alternator belts

Last but not least: find a garage with people who know what they are doing.

    Hope this helps.

I wouldn't mess about with anyone else but Norton Way. Might have to leave it with them for a few days but worth the journey. They don't mind fitting customer supplied parts and are trustworthy. I think it is Bryan Smith who is the service manager there who is knowledgeable about the NSX.

Why not give Graham a call at Plans, they've recently overhauled a couple of Nsx engines after removing them first and there're labour rate is very competitive compared to main dealers, being predominantly NSX specialists certainly gives me confidence when I go there.
They even sometimes have a courtesy on hand.

Hmm really? The two I know of had nothing but trouble.. Self appointed NSX "specialist " based on what? I've used them in the past.. I've used NW and I know where I'd prefer to go...
