Thread: front Lower Ball Joint (1st Gen JDM)

  1. Default front Lower Ball Joint (1st Gen JDM)

    Any advice on the best place to buy and price for the above please. I have seen some advertised in the states but obviously don't know if they are any good.
    Thanks for reading, Dave.

    Hi, Dave.

    Addition to the one on NSX Prime, our member britlude (aka Jonathan) carried out this task;

    Hope he can chime in but it may take some time as I know he is on another project at the moment....

    The 'rare parts' ball joints I fitted are working fine with no issues....

    Smiley face!

    On a side note I'm not so sure about the carbon 6 (?) ones that have the pin screwing into the ball, and a pretty anodised cover... I'd want to KNOW they won't unscrew!!!!

    And I like the 'on another project'..... Understatement!!! Lol

    It goes without saying that NSX tax is alive and well in the world of NSX ball joints. It's obvious they can be replaced on the upright, else they wouldn't have circlips, they'd be swaged in, so whoever finds an appropriate replacement ( which you know would be circa £30) and doesn't put a 1000% markup on it would be onto a winner!!!

    Not sure if Honda thinks that if a ball joint lets got it's better to replace the whole suspension arm as it's aluminium. Fatique or high forces might hurt them.

    I stock used knuckles with brand new carbon6 titanium ball joints. I stock aftermarket ball joints too. I also have a used set of knuckles without play in stock. Email me for the exchange programm: office@atr-racing.com

    Thanks

    A lot to think about as mine only have slight play at the moment but it is something that will have to be sorted in the not to distant future. Thanks for all of the comments.
