Thread: Stock NSX speaker/amplifier repair kit - info required

  1. Default Stock NSX speaker/amplifier repair kit - info required

    Morning all!

A customer of mine is having amplifier/speaker problems and has asked me to find out where to obtain the "repair" kit. This is the first I've heard of such a kit so any information is more than gratefully received.

Symptoms: crackling noise leading to dead speaker (passenger side)

The car is a '94 UK NSX and according to the customer the problem lies with the BOSE amplifier which is burning out.

Does anyone know where said repair kit can be obtained and once we've got it what to do with it? Customer has also said that Kevin previously repaired the driver side amplifier/speaker - so Kevin, if you're reading this can you please get in touch with me.

    Many thanks for your feedback.

    Regards,

    Dan

I got replacement speaker amps from bose direct, in germany.... scroll down to my post here...

they supply the amplifier circuit board, so all you have to do is seperate the speaker enclosure, change the amp (plugs onto pcb) and put it back together! simple... I think it was about £160 delivered for both door speakers (2 amps!)

Alternatively... I have a perfect OE Bose radio/cassette unit and door speakers, etc. for sale. All from a 2000 model year NSX (stripped out for track work).

Let me know if you'd like to buy for customer or stock.

    Regards,

    David.
