    2001 3.2 Circuit Blue Coupe with pop-ups!

"If you want to argue that The Best Car in the World is a supercar, go ahead. But there is only one that makes the grade. Only one that's built properly.
    Gordon Murray knows.
    Rowan Atkinson knows.
    It's the Honda NSX."

Latest reports about next years new face lifted NC1 claim it can lap Suzuka faster than an F1 car, difficult to believe considering it's still a road car but interesting all the same, quote:

"The 2019 NSX feels harder edged, less compromised and more focused. But all of the above comes secondary to another change made on the car. Gone are the Continental ContiSportContact 5p tires, replaced with SportContact 6 tires, 245/35ZR19 in front, and 305/30ZR20 in back. Continental developed this tire solely for the NSX and took the tire in a much more supercar-worthy direction. I’m certain the Sport Contact 6 plays the lion’s share of improving the NSX’s lap time around Suzuka, the Formula 1 circuit, by 1.9 seconds, a claim Acura was happy to tout. The Conti is still no Pirelli Trofeo R, but it now suits the NSX much better than before (and the R is still available)."

That is extremely hard to believe.

But then nowhere does the article (or Honda) make that claim.

All that quote says is that Suzuka is an F1 circuit, and that this new version of the NC1 lapped the circuit 1.9 seconds faster than the previous version of the car.

Clive, I think you got the wrong end if the stick there

They use the Conti 6 on the Civic and it's very impressive in the dry.

Think they have got this the wrong way round

" And, while cornering, the inside front motor will pull harder than the outside motor to aid attacking the apex"

Depends how fast you are going round that corner.

I think it's over about a ton that it does the mechanical 'pull' vectoring through the epicyclic in the middle and does 'push' TV electrically at lower speeds. Or even push & pull in tight turns.

But it's probably hack journalese as it's totally unclear.

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson
