The oil will have enough surface tension to get oil on the piston rings and walls. You can also help with an air gun by blowing into the spark plug hole after you filled some oil in. It will splash around on the cylinder wall. That idea is maybe the best, since you dont need to have the pistons in vertical position. I just got out of the bed and had this idea....LOL

    .....a few thought reflections:
    1.

I decided to fill the cylinders and wait for gravity to do its job.
Each cylinder bank in the vertical as Unhu said (I have a lot of time)

if it does not dispose of the oil from the cylinders it will apply the method Christian (after filling the cylinder with oil - give it pressure) but some valves are open. I would have to remove the camshafts.
but for sure before bending the crankshaft, I blow air gun into cylinders to spill oil on the walls

    2. I would like to present my idea for an opinion.
in place of the engine oil pressure switch, mount the gun with the tank and press the oil (to clean the gun-thin,washy) under the pressure of several bars.
I think the return valve in the pump will workClick image for larger version.
